After unleashing the return of the VS genre with the release of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 last year, Capcom is leading fans of the fighting game series on a nostalgia trip by re-releasing two of its classic titles in one package! Entitled "Marvel Vs Capcom: Origins", the package includes two classic titles from the Marvel Vs Capcom series - Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel Vs Capcom! Similar to Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition, this DLC game coming for Xbox LIVE and Playstation Network will feature the games remastered in HD, online play, and new trophies and achievements to unlock during gameplay.

Batman Arkham City Game is going Halloween?! Are you bored with the standard costumes for Halloween? You're going to a party and you know that there will be all the standard adult Halloween costumes present. There will be umpteen witches, wizards, ghosts, ghouls and grim reapers so how can you be a bit different? Well, the latest thing is Batman Halloween costumes and the great thing is that you can use one again for any fancy dress party.
You may think that all Batman Halloween costumes will be the same but that just isn't the case. There's a wide variety of colours, for example grey with blue cape, overpants and boots, all black with grey cape, light grey and dark grey with Air Force blue lining to the cape and that's just for the men. You can also get the ripped abdominal muscles for the macho amongst you. Boys aren't left out either as these costumes come in all sizes, even for toddler.
If you're actually Batgirl, then a whole new world of colour opens up. For little girls there's a bright pink batgirl outfit which comes complete with a dress, a mask, a belt, cuffs and bootcovers; you just need to supply your own boots.
Batgirl costumes include the sexy deluxe black mini dress with yellow bat logo, black cape, armlets, black mask, yellow belt and black boot tops. Alternatively, if you don't want to be too provocative then a dark blue velvet jumpsuit, yellow boottops, gauntlets and belt, yellow lined cape and blue velvet headpiece.
For the larger ladies there are plus size outfits. Last week Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, WaterTower Music, and DC Entertainment announced the soundtrack for Batman: Arkham City Game, the highly anticipated follow up to the immensely popular 2009 Batman: Arkham Asylum video game, will be released on October 4, just two weeks before the North American release of the game.
Soundtracks to video games have never really been that common with the exception of a handful of huge franchises, so this was a bit of a surprise for me when I saw the news. And what surprised me even more was the soundtrack description and track listing. In keeping with tradition of Batman soundtracks (1989-1997), the soundtrack to Batman: Arkham City Game boasts brand new music for a wide variety of artists whose work is either inspired by the game or Batman in general. Music about Batman from established artists? That’s the best possible scenario that can be imagined. But for me, it gets better.
The artist list includes several bands from across the musical spectrum including AFI members Blaqk Audio, The Duke Spirit, heavy metal supergroup The Damned Things,Panic! At The Disco, my favorite band of all time Coheed and Cambria, pop/rock band Daughtry, The Raveonettes, and many more, which you can see listed here below.
But the coolest thing about the artists for the soundtrack is their ties to comics. I’m not too familiar with all of the artists, but as mentioned above and on this site regularly, Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria has several comic writing credits to his name, including The Amory Wars, Kill Audio, and the upcoming Key of Z, while The Damned Things’ Scott Ian (guitarist of Anthrax) has collaborated several times with artist Sam Keith, most notably with his Lobo books. And the one artist that sticks out like a sore thumb on this track listing based on style is the band Daughtry. But why is it so cool that the former American Idol contestant in on a Batman soundtrack with heavy rockers and industrial musicians? Because he is one of the biggest Batman fans on the face of the planet. And I’m sure that officially writing a song about Batman that his record label didn’t deny is a lifetime dream of his.
I seriously cannot wait for this album to be released. Punk, metal, industrial, Coheed, and Batman!? It is literally a dream come true. Arkham City Game learns from Gates of Gotham

Will Batman Arkham City Game hace some similarities with Batman: Gates of Gotham? Batman: Gates of Gotham that hit the shelves of comic stores everywhere, delivering the first of five issues to make up the miniseries. Gates of Gotham brings together writers Scott Snyder and Kyle Higgins and features the artwork of Trevor McCarthy. This impressive team brings us a storyline that has its roots coming out of Grant Morrison's Batman Incorporated, particularly issue #6 where Cassandra Cain began tracking explosives that eventually found their way to Gotham in the first issue of this series.
The story begins with the bombing and subsequent destruction of three bridges in Gotham City that follow with a cryptic warning to the press that "the families will fall by the gates of Gotham." The fact that each one of these bridges was named after a prominent family (the Cobblepots, the Elliots and the Waynes) leads us to believe that some deep dark secrets of said families are about to come out of the closet. The first couple pages sets that idea up nicely as we're treated to a meeting held in 1881with Bruce Wayne's great great grandfather to discuss the construction of these bridges. Personally, I loved this intro because of the time period being illustrated and it brought back that nostalgic vibe I felt when I read Gotham by Gaslight for the first time.
The first issue is clearly setting up the questions for the next four books to answer so the pace is relatively slow. That shouldn't come as big surprise for anyone starting a new series that has a well-developed storyline. I feel that pacing here is key. There is, however, a great action sequence that's wonderfully illustrated by McCarthy of Batman's response to the bridge explosions and the rescue attempts made. After being treated to a few pages of this type of action, I was fine having a slower pace for the rest of the issue.
McCarthy's artwork has grown on me a little bit more with this book. His character work stands out in this issue and he manages to effectively energize the panels, regardless of the action taking place. I particularly enjoyed the work he did illustrating a meeting between Batman and the Penguin. His drawings of Gotham City are very well done in the few panels in which it's visible. The buildings come off as dark and rustic and lend to the mood as the backdrop for the story. These illustrations are even more important to pay attention to as the city itself can be seen as a prominent character in Gates of Gotham.
What excites me about his storyline is that we're going to get new insights and backstory on the history of Gotham City. And the more insights we have the better gaming experiences we have..!Batman Arkham City Game to be released 18 October North America
